LQ2x(also LQ3x, LQ4x, Normal, Smart, Bold, LQ2x3, LQ2x4, etc.): HQ3x(which is also available as normal, bold and smart version): HQ2x(Normal, Bold and Smart, HQ4x, HQ2x3, HQ2x4, etc.): Super Scale and Interpolate (alias SuperSai): To demonstrate some of the filtering techniques, I will use this image:Įagle3x (I invented this one because it did not exists before): Thanks to all the people that made up their minds and invented these scalers. All Algorithms have been rewritten from scratch by looking at the original code, understanding and then adapting so these should be clean (schoolar) version of the algo's. Even though some scaler's seem to result in the same image, they're all slightly different and the best fit heavily depends on the source material. They will interpolate on matches to give slightly better results than their original. I adapted them to be used not only on pixel graphics by giving them the ability to identify pixels that are alike and not exactly the same color. This library contains all of the standard algorithms used in various emulators (like VirtualGB, Mame, DOSBox, SNES9x, ZSNES to name some of them). <- No need for this any more - built-in effect has been fixed since Paint.Net version 3.5.2.įile: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\ColorToAlpha.dllįull error message: System.TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'PaintDotNet.ColorGradientControl' from assembly 'PaintDotNet.Core, Version=.32416, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.Īt ()Īt ()Īt (Type effectType) in D:\src\pdn\paintdotnet\src\PaintDotNet\Menus\EffectMenuBase.cs:line 707įile: C:\Program Files\Paint.NET\Effects\ColorMixer.dllĪt ()Īt ()Īt (Type effectType) in D:\src\pdn\paintdotnet\src\PaintDotNet\Menus\EffectMenuBase.I finally packed my image filtering library into a Paint.NET Plugin which can be downloaded here:įind these filters in Effects > Tools > 2D Image FilterHas the same functionality as existing Hue / Saturation adjustment, which sadly returns choppy results on gradients. V2 Updated: faster performance, added Shift control. Useful for fading / blending irregular shapes. Performs Gaussian blur on alpha channel (transparency) only. V1.1 Updated: few UI and code optimizations. V1.5 Updated: UI and color handling model. V2.0 Updated: improved color handling, additional saturation option. V1.3 Updated: fixed compatibility with PdN 3.5 beta V2.3 Updated: fixed compatibility with PdN 3.5 beta V1.2 Updated: few UI and code optimizations. ![]() V2.2 Updated: few UI and code optimizations moved to Photo submenu. V3.1 Updated: few UI and code optimizations. Update : almost every plugin is improved for rendering performance and quality, plus few minor UI changes and rearrangements in menu locations. Update : Basic Adjustments updated Black & White Converter updated and added to the pack. Update : Color Mixer and Color to Alpha compatible with PdN 3.5 beta. ![]() ![]() Update : New effect Grain, new version of Basic Adjustments. Thanks to Alois Zingl for this impressive study and permission to use it. * The blur code is implemented from (gauss2.ffp). Basic Adjustments has improved color rendering at extreme settings. Plus options to apply to Shadows, Midtones or Highlights. LocalContrast can now also reduce contrast. Sharpen+, Shadow/Highlight and LocalContrast have new blur implementation* and are much more responsive to use. ![]() Bidirectional Blur is gaussian blur with separated amounts for horizontal and vertical direction. Update : New effect Bidirectional Blur, new version of Sharpen+, Shadow/Highlight, LocalContrast, Basic Adjustments. This plugin pack contains all my plugins.
